I have decency and hold back! Actually not a star but I have to ...

First of all: we absolutely cannot understand the comments about the food and have to recognize again that fortunately, tastes are different. It was our first time in this restaurant and cannot say anything negative. We were welcomed super nice, the mixed salads in advance were really delicious, the main dishes were very, very deliciously seasoned (so that we agreed that we had finally been served really well-seasoned meat in a restaurant), the service was very friendly & attentive and the prices are accordingly reasonable. As village children, we also like the ambience, of course, and we hope to eat outside next time in warmer weather. Since we were not on the run that evening, we also found the waiting times to be legitimate and justified. We had a nice evening, would love to come back and can absolutely recommend it to all those who would like to eat as good as "with grandma"!

So even 3 months after the visit I'm still angry that we stayed there. elderly lady overwhelmed with the economy and rude. a Pils came on an ordered wheat and after consultation came: "they just drink a Pils today" was so perplexed that I couldn't say anything more about it. Also handing over the keys in the morning because there are no second keys, I was not happy. Room was cleaned despite the missing key. One day a second towel was missing, the other time the remote control. So have to say honestly are then for a beer opposite to the lion that was really pleasant for us. luckily the house was only an emergency shelter because it was a fair.

This hotel was maybe once in a time nice. The rooms were renovated and deep cleaned some years ago. Swabian style, as cost effective as possible, was the breakfast - small and pre counted. Internet works not everywhere in the hotel and is weak. The owner is overall nice but asks couple of times if I paid already. Cash only or bank transfer after some negotiation. Sorry I do not carry some hundreds EUR in my pocket. The worst experience I ever had in a hotel, was the intense fight between the owner and her sister. I try to avoid this hotel as business traveler.

I've never had such a miserable meal in a locality from the coupon book and had to wait more than an hour for it. There were five of us and the only guests. We had a friendly service, which does not improve things. Golden Ox NEVER AGAIN

Have you seen Fawlty Towers? Not expecting visitors so we stood in the dark outside trying to find a bell to ring. Then offered two rooms instead of the three we'd booked. We got three (we were the only guests). One thin towel and pillow in my room, no smoke alarm and a toilet blocked for five days in another. When we mentioned the toilet Frau Augenstein said "I wonder what is blocking it?" as we ate the little breakfast. Had to pay cash, and leave one key each morning as the chambermaid had no spare. Friday morning at 6am a madman rings the church bell HARD a hundred times. Even with earplugs and shut windows it woke me up. The church clock strikes every quarter of an hour 24 hours a day. Some tender loving care would improve the place, although the rooms were warm and the beds good. Stay somewhere quieter and better.

So I've never visited a more terrible place. The boss is cheeky and unable to take orders correctly. When asked, only the customer is smiled at. I was there with a group of 12 people. We would be asked to agree on a meal if possible! It was too much work. As it was in the menu, it didn't come out anyway. And in the end, the boss complained while the glaze was being applied that nobody had tips here, which is not true either. She wanted it for her "girls"! Once and never again. Not recommendable.

A nice old traditional inn with dignified old furniture, original equipment, works of art and everything very clean and well maintained. We will be back. Bed and breakfast in September 2018

On the road as a fitter, absolutely sufficient. Single room for 48 € food was a bit expensive but very good. All in all, the golden ox people are doing everything right.

Absolutely NOT recommendable, as first room far too dark, second only lukewarm water, no heating in the totally outdated bathroom, fourth too cold in the fall and last but not least: in the restaurant the food tastes too overpriced not at all. I do not know why I have to award a star here!

This is a very nice place to stay. I am from Shanghai and I like to be in this historical hotel. The duck is very delicious. I sleep very well in this wonderful bed. I will come again definitely.

Service was slow, the food completely salty. My grandma gave her Maultaschen to pack, but they never returned. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant. However, I can't say what the guest rooms look like.

Room: insufficient illumination. A bed put together. Very cold, heating only works moderately. Bathroom: small, you have to sit sideways on the toilet. Shower not illuminated. You don't know in which germ oasis you are standing. Bad WiFi signal. Breakfast isn't particularly fresh either. Cheese from the day before, fruit is not fresh either.

Nice little classic Hotel in a sweet little town. Hotel history dates back to the 18th century. Cosy and very clean rooms. Cute beergarden and restaurant. Very friendly staff and good local food.

The hotel was in need of a makeover 20 years ago! Outdated ... well ... everything! No work desk/chair in the room, no internet, no gym/sauna/anything. I was welcomed very warmly though, which makes for the second star.
